3.5/5, +.5 for service
Shark Club actually does its job very well for a downtown bar. Sadly unless there's a concert going on or a major game is showing on TV, it's often quiet.
I've been here a few times now and generally come here for playoff hockey or basketball games. Sometimes I eat beforehand so I only end up grabbing a drink, but other times I will order a plate of chicken wings or a Shark Burger.
In my opinion, the wings are only worth it during Wing Wednesdays, otherwise $13.99 for about 10-12 wings is quite steep of a price. The burgers, however, are really good. If you're not a fan of bacon or mushrooms, the classic burger is a perfectly viable option for $2 less.
I usually get their IPAs for drinks, traditionally a 1919 or anything Half Pint. Local craft beers that are generally to my satisfaction.
Service has always been great here regardless of how busy they are. I find the atmosphere here better than Moxie's or Browns if you're looking for a bar on this side of Portage. -

4 star sports bar experience. Sports bars can be quirky. Limited seating with limited good views of the game, good beer but poor food, you get the point. Shark quashes all the bugs and offers an upscale sports dining experience. There's maximum screen real estate from every seating angle. There are excellent specials for food and drinks every day of the week.
The food I tried was very good. Wednesday wings night I tried the habanero salt variety. These were excellent. Not sauced or drowning in sweetness, but fully flavored from the rub and lightly fried. Was getting hungry by third period of the Stanley Cup Finals, so opted for the classic burger. A great burger despite Canadian fascist meat burning laws requiring "well done ". The option of yam fries was a nice offering.
I'm "beer challenged " in Canada. Can't seem to align my pallet with their offerings. The bartender let me sample at least six drafts before I settled on one. The staff in general was exceptional. I interfaced with at least 6 people that were truly committed to a positive customer experience. Clearly a sign of great management at this location.
Would definitely consider this a worthy regular hangout for my game of the week. stars for sports bar experience. -

Please, PLEASE teach your staff about beers. A revolving IPA was a saison. When I brought it to the attention of the server she was like a deer in headlights. She couldn't call comprehend that the beer was NOT an IPA (even though she said it was prior to service g it...and said it was hoppy. She literally knew nothing about the beer so she just made stuff up.) I told the bartender the same thing....that the beer I got was NOT an IPA. Same dead stare and same..."OK?" Finally someone, maybe a manager, said the tap was switched...or something. Still doesn't explain the lack of knowledge. I was actually trying to save them from selling the wrong beer to others but they just didn't get it.
The wings were pretty good and the steak salad was as well. -

Came here with a group of about 16 people. But the place easy not full. Wings for $0.35 are a great price and a decent variety of beer. BUT as reported here in other reviews the service was horrible. They need more servers. We would have ordered more if the server had more time and less tables. Sorry got to give it 1 star.

Came here on a Thursday night and it was not packed. I like the cool blue interior and ambience the place provided. Sports bar on one side and casino on the other. I grabbed a drink and walked to the tables. I did not get a chance to try the food but all in all, it was enjoyable with a good crowd.
